About the Onset
Bay Association
The Onset Bay Association is a non-profit civic corporation
dedicated to investing in Onset. We are a community working together
to enhance the
quality of life for every individual with whom we come in contact.
Together we make a difference.
The OBA sponsors many community activities including The Annual
Blues Festival, the Wednesday Night Summer Concert Series at
the Band Shell, the Annual Paradise Poker Run, the Annual Golf
Tournament at Bay Pointe Country Club, Illumination Night, Sea Inn~Side
Onset, Kayak Poker Run and Stuffies's Contest. There are three celebrations
designed principally for families. They include and Easter Egg Hunt,
Onset Village Family Day and Christmas in the Parks. The Onset Village
Family Day consists of pumpkin carving, decorating, face painting, and
a visit to the haunted house. Christmas in the Parks includes letters
to Santa and a visit from Santa via fire truck along with hayrides and
the Talking Christmas Tree. Along with these events, the OBA is instrumental
in developing other programs to enhance Onset Village. Several committees
of hardworking volunteers develop and implement many village programs,
such as the Beautification Committee, which annually plants and maintains
flowers in the village.
